A Healing Journey: Redefining Environmental Challenges
A Healing Journey: Redefining Environmental Challenges is a socially engaged art-research project that brings together senior citizens, art, and nature to explore the impact of environmental change on our communities. Through walking, storytelling, PhotoVoice, and mixed media art, participants reflect on the transformation of Gozo's rural landscape and the memories it holds.
Working collaboratively, the project encourages dialogue about overdevelopment, environmental loss, and the importance of preserving our natural heritage. Inspired by the beauty of the countryside, participants create artworks using natural materials, expressing personal memories and shared experiences.
The project celebrates creativity at every age, promotes social inclusion, and demonstrates how art can inspire environmental awareness, community engagement, and positive change.

The Sunflower land artwork is created on a specific site limits of iz- Zebbug Gozo facing the urban landscape of Marsalforn. The image, captured from a drone is showing 42 sheets placed on site by a circular performing action.
